Mmofraturo Girls Boarding School, located in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, is a distinguished institution with a rich legacy of empowering young women through quality education. Established in 1930, the school has consistently produced influential leaders in various sectors, including law, journalism, and public service.

In recent years, Mmofraturo has undertaken significant infrastructure improvements to enhance student welfare. Notably, in May 2022, the school inaugurated a solar-powered eight-seater water closet toilet facility, equipped with a mechanized borehole, to address long-standing sanitation challenges. This initiative was led by the Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah, an alumna of the school, and was supported by the Community Water and Sanitation Agency .

The school’s commitment to holistic development is further exemplified by its 90th-anniversary celebrations, which highlighted its ongoing mission to provide quality education and foster leadership among young women. Mmofraturo continues to be a beacon of excellence, nurturing future leaders who contribute significantly to national development
