Mmofraturo Girls’ Secondary School, established in 1979, is a renowned all-girls institution located in Old Tafo, Ashanti Region. The school has a rich history, evolving from its early days at Freeman Methodist Church to its current status as a public school administered by the government but managed by the church.

In 2006, Mmofraturo Girls’ Secondary School was granted boarding status, providing students with the opportunity to reside on campus. This development has enhanced the school’s ability to offer a conducive learning environment, fostering discipline and academic excellence among its students.

To further improve the school’s infrastructure, a solar-powered eight-seater toilet facility was commissioned in May 2022. This modern facility, equipped with a mechanized borehole, was constructed to address long-standing sanitation challenges and promote hygiene among the over 700 students.

Mmofraturo Girls’ Secondary School continues to uphold its commitment to providing quality education and nurturing future leaders in Ghana
